Apeksha Lal is an South Asian artist based in New York City. She graduated with BFA in Illustration at Parsons School of Design in May 2025.

Apeksha draws a lot of inspiration from her experiences as a first-generation immigrant and her cultural heritage. Her main sources of inspiration include Indian mythology, traditions, and cultural clothing, but also gothic horror, vampires and fantasy. Much of her illustration practice involces combining all her drastically different interests into cohesive visual projects that feel authentic to her. Most of her work is painting, relief printmaking or digital illustration, but she also loves to experiment with other mediums.
